Spiritual successors to as much The Dream as Aphex Twin, Collarbones‘ distorted interpretations of RnB and future-ballads take a stripped back approach for constant intrigue. After releasing their debut LP ‘Iconography’ in 2009, the boys have since released a follow up ‘Die Young’ (featuring the Triple-J rotated lead single ‘Missing’), with both albums being nominated for album of the year at their respective FBI SMAC Awards.
Their live performance, a blend covers of Justin Bieber with Holographic Sunglasses and some pretty-brave stage diving is one which has taken them to all ends of Australia being hand picked to support high rising locals PVT, Clubfeet and Owl Eyes, as well as international acts such as How to Dress Well, Jessie Ware and Deerhunter.
After a long hiatus, the duo comprised of Marcus Whale and Travis Cook returned in 2016 with a new single ‘The Cut’. The pair have been working on new music which they’ll be sharing in the coming months!
