Hailing from Brisbane, alt pop-rock artist Hope D began writing and playing music at the early age of 9 years old. The second she turned 18 she began incessantly hitting the stages across the city, growing her live performances into an infectious and compelling mix of free flowing lyrics and layered acoustic guitar riffs.
Now with passionate 4-piece band behind her, Hope D’s shows have become more engaging and energetic than ever. They hit the ground running earlier in May this year with their debut single release “Swim”, which caught the attention of triple j unearthed, triple j, Spotify, and a wash of new fans across Australia.
Weaving intricate lyrics into thoughtful and meaningful melodies, its brutally honest and raw lyrics tell the story of finally discovering who you are, yet being afraid to be your true self. With her band and loyal local supporters growing each time she plays, there’s nothing to stop this fiery, dynamic set.
