The Lulu Raes are five mates and a cocktail in some parts of Queensland. Bringing a lifetime love of pop smothered in dance & punk, the Raes produce their own hook-laden pop tunes. With influences such as The Strokes, The Beatles & Oasis driving their love for music, they are sure to put on a show that makes your Mum say “Aren’t they nice boys”.
The Sydney lads have shared stages with the likes of Sticky Fingers, Dune Rats, Jamie XX, DMA’s and The Vines. Recent slots at Groovin The Moo, Blurst Of Times, Secret Garden, Lost Paradise and Festival Of The Sun, along with upcoming dates with The Jungle Giants, rounds out a busy period for the band.
Their latest tune, Never Leave follows the success of their five previous singles (The Way Life Runs, Reputation, Swing Me On A Vine Of Sunshine, Burnout & Infinite Paradise) which have collectively received full rotation on Triple j, FBi and other community radio stations. Notably, Burnout peaked at #3 on the AIR ‘Independent Radio Chart’ and finished up in Triple j’s ‘Most Played’ weekly chart on two occasions.
The Lulu Raes recently signed with Verge Records (Sony) and their debut EP ‘All Our Parents Are Divorced’ is due Aug 5 with a headline tour to follow in September.
Eddie, Taras, Marcus, Tom & Gus all invite you to join them on their journey into your hearts.
“Every so often there’s a band that comes along that really stands out. …catchy melodies and soulful vocals that, quite literally, won’t leave your head for days” – Lost At E Minor
“The pop/rock outfit really hit the main vain, oozing into fun-filled dancey rhythms, carried by addictive lyrical melodies and harmonies that trail seamlessly through each arrangement” – Happy
“The entire room fed off The Lulu Raes’ energy, so much so that the floor was bouncing and at risk of caving in from the way too enthusiastic dancing. The band performed their form of sun-tinted indie pop wonderfully, encapsulating the pure essence of happiness” – The Music
