Does It Offend You, Yeah? wield their synths like rock stars -- but, for that matter, they wield their guitars and cowbells like rock stars, too. The Reading quartets debut album, You Have No Idea What Youre Getting Yourself Into, has no problems synthesizing (so to speak) dance music and rock; of course, its hardly incompatible for a great dance album to also be a great rock album. Comparisons ranging from !!! to Klaxons to A Flock of Seagulls are all apt, since the group doesnt spend much time forging its own identity before branching out into everything from new wave to synth pop to organ-driven surf rock.

And that band name? "Everybody thinks the name is some kind of statement but its a quote from David Brent in an episode of 'The Office'. "When me and James Rushent first started writing music together we decided to put it up on MySpace. We needed a name to put as our profile name so just put what was the first thing that was said on TV, we switched it on and Ricky Gervais said 'Does it offend you, yeah? My drinking?' so we just went with that. No thought went into it whatsoever.

The group is known for their raucous live shows, which often end in stage diving and broken instruments. This is a must see show of the year!
