Emerging from the western suburbs of Adelaide and onto the always interesting Adelaide music scene with her debut single FERN in late 2022 newcomer aleksiah has been growing the love and support of fans via moves which would impress the most seasoned of artists. triple j have been raving about aleksiah since they started giving FERN spins and then doubled down making her their Unearthed live choice for the Adelaide edition of this years, Groovin’ the Moo.

Heavily influenced by day-to-day personal experiences she found that pouring her thoughts out into song-writing liberated her of the downward feelings that everybody gets sometime. Her melodic story driven music is influenced by early listening to artists as diverse as Fleetwood Mac and Creedence Clearwater Revival, but also Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. “I think my music is a mixture of whimsy and reality, light and dark,” and hopes that people will take away some happiness and a feeling of being uplifted from her songs.

Charmed by her musicality she’s earned support slots touring with Lime Cordiale, Kita Alexander, and on the Sly Withers’ programmed Sidefest festival. With her full band in tow, aleksiah heads out on her debut headline tour in August 2023 playing in shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. She is also scheduled to support her friends, Teenage Dads as part of their national touring in late 2023.

She recently signed to leading Australian artist management company, Chugg Music (Lime Cordiale, Teenage Dads) and leading talent agency Select Music (Amy Shark, Stella Donnelly) for live representation.
