Alice Ivy’s first foray into music, an ill-fated tryst with the clarinet, was swapped for guitar before she began beat-making inspired by the likes of The Avalanches and J Dilla.
In 2016 the 24-year old artist-producer released,“Touch” and “Almost Here” amassing more than 3M plays on Spotify. Her September showcase at BIGSOUND 2016 in Brisbane was widely reported as one of the best of the conference.
In March 2017, she released “Get Me A Drink”, added to high rotation on triple j and The Age newspaper placed at #8 in their “Best Songs Of 2017 So Far”. In September 2017, in the wake of signing an AU/NZ deal with Dew Process she served up “Be Friends”, also added to high rotation on triple j. The third consecutive cut from her debut album to be added to high rotation at Australian radio was “Chasing Stars” featuring Bertie Blackman.
In two years Alice Ivy has performed more than 120 shows in 4 continents including main supports for Foster The People (US) Oh Wonder (UK), Billie Eilish (US), Remi and E^ST plus three Australian headline tours, toured the US and Singapore, showcased at Canadian Music Week, SXSW and performed at Australian festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Listen Out, Strawberry Fields, Pitch, Groovin’ The Moo, VIVID and more.
Her debut album “I’m Dreaming” was released February 9, 2018 via Dew Process/Universal Music Australia in AU/NZ and Last Gang Records internationally
