Sally Seltmann is the award-winning Australian singer / songwriter behind intoxicating albums such as ‘Hey Daydreamer’, ‘Heart That’s Pounding’, ‘Somewhere, anywhere.’ and ‘The Last Beautiful Day’. She is the co-writer of the hit song ‘1234’, performed by Feist. Sally Seltmann previously performed under the name New Buffalo, and is a member of Seeker Lover Keeper.
In 2016, Sally and her husband Darren Seltmann won Best Original Song For The Screen for Sally’s single ‘Dancing In The Darkness’. The song featured in the ABC TV show The Letdown. In songwriting news, Sally Seltmann co-wrote Rachel Platten’s ‘Better Place’ which was released as the third single from her album ‘Wildfire’. The album peaked in the US Billboard 200 charts at number 5.
Sally Seltmann recently performed with her band at the NGV in Melbourne as part of The Ai Wei Wei / Andy Warhol exhibition. She has performed with her band at Splendour In The Grass, Woodford Folk Festival and Laneway Festival, and has supported artists including Paul Kelly, Cat Power and Feist.
Sally is currently writing and recording demos for her 5th studio album, as well as co-writing with Susanna Hoffs (The Bangles) for Susanna’s upcoming solo project.
Sally’s songs have featured in a number of US and Australian TV shows and films, including Offspring, One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy, and ‘Gardens of the Night’.
